Sleeping in ...

Being a day off, most people will sleep in. But today (Thanksgiving Day) workers are continuing to prep/paint the apartment units that I live in. Its not a good thing to wake up with someone scarping off paint off the outside bedroom window. Its just like the day before my New York trip, I took off to rest and finish any last minute items. That day the roof redone. It sounded like people running around on the roof, ok, maybe they weren't running, they were walking.
This also brings up the actual trip to New York, the city was taking down a building in the downtown area. They can not just blow it up, being downtown and all. They had to take it down by jack hammer and other tool. It good to wake up with the pounding of a jack hammer at 7:30 pm. Of course you don't need to sleep in on a vacation, you need to be up, visit and see the sights.
This is my rave for today.

CSI: Miami

Watched last night episode, at the end it pointed towards CBS web site for a major plot point. It is a good/different idea, it included a extended ended. It picked up from the ending of the Monday's episode to detail a plot point that looks to run most of the season. You do have to watch hummer add to get to the 5 min extended ended. There are are 2 interviews and a video tour of the MIAMI set.

Our HERO game.

This game was played on October 12th in the year of 2005 using the HERO game system with Fantasy HERO setting.

With our enlarged group (trackers and a non-trackers), we set traps and scouted the northern area. With smoking fires, a group of orcs and goblins showed up. (In the picture, our group is on the left and a small group shows up on the right.)

Three orcs turn and face Gregor (top of the picture) ready to attack him.

Gregor is knocked out by the three orcs. Vaden (lower left of the picture) and another of our party come up behind the orcs and kills one of them and damage the others later.

Making sure Gregor is not killed, we set to kill the other orcs. With the tide changed, the remaining orcs make a run for it (top right of the picture). Vaden follow behind the fleeing the orcs (middle of the picture). Be a little faster on his feet, Vaden is able to kill the orcs. A dead orc is a good orc.

Next installment: The road back home.

New York pictures.

I have uploaded pictures of my New York trip, have a look here.

Day 1: The trip to New York

The view from my window on the plane before we head out.

After we get to New York, we stand in line to get a taxi (the mini-van type, due to the large number of bags that were brought).

.

We got to the hotel and were shortly greeted by some firetrucks (there were about 5 total). And as you may be able to tell from the picture, it is raining. There was some problem that shut down the elevators in the second building my parent were. The bags had to be toted up 4 flights of stares.

Had diner with my brother, visited with him and called it a night.

Time flies when you set you watch 3 hrs ahead.

And the final free hand drawing of the picture.

I was thinking adding a color picture of a forest shot or a grayed out background. Adding text to the art piece will also flush it out. Updates will be added here as they are done.

Any comments? Pictures? Font suggestions for the title? Please leave them below.

Our HERO game.

This game was played on October 2nd in the year of 2005 using the HERO game system with Fantasy HERO setting.

Something happened that none of the other people in the group perceived, Vaden got shot three different time by arrows that no one else could see. The orcs were upset with this problem and took care of it. We did find out the were a total of 4 came surrounding our town and talked the leader into giving the town a month time to work out this problem of humans attacking their town/camps.

After going back to town, Vaden and Gregor encountered a orc and knocked him out and dragged him back to town. Somehow the orc escaped.

We talked with the camp in east. To be given more time to resolve the issue of the human attacks, the orcs wanted five women/children to killed. We faked the deaths, but orcs saw thru the fakes and left.

We set up a small camp to spy on the northern camp. Some traps were set up with some of the trapper. Some goblins showed up while Vaden was away scouting. Gregor was took care of the intruders.

Car Pursued Over Eastside Listed On EBay

Owners of the car seen in a televised police chase last week (in Seattle) have put the vehicle up for sale at an auction Web site. When I heard of this on the morning radio, the reserve of $3200 had not been reached (some around $2500), checking as of this post, the reserve has been reached and more. The bid is at $5200 and there is still 2 days left. Check out kirotv.com for news story and the link for the ebay page.

A new book.

After seeing the movie Serenity I stopped by the Half Price Books and found a game book by the name of Paranoia (The Fifth Edition). I have played the game twice and enjoyed the game. At the least it is some good reading.
