The last day of my vacation in New York.

Gotten some time to sit and blog the last day of vacation (in New York), which was Tuesday (09/16/08).

The morning was not rushed. Kate had go to work for a while. Me and Chad took it easy. He worked on the computer and got some reading done. We got a chance to play We Love Golf on the Wii.
Kate got home and we drove out to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. After we looked around, we headed back to New York, where food was prepared. At that time they brought out enchiladas with birthday candles on them and sang Happy Birthday to me. One thing that was learned was that you do not put wax birthday candles into hot food, they tend to melt. Presents were given and opened. One that I did get a ticket to Avenue Q on Broadway for that night. We left early to look around Time Square and then we headed to the theater. The show was great. We stoped for a snack and headed back.

My 35th Birthday.

Today I turn 35. Today I took off work, slept in and took it easy. This last Sunday I had dinner with the parents and opened most my gifts. With the last gift arriving today. I got everything on my list (see prev post). Yea!

Also my parents are going to see my Chad and Kate down in New York for a few day. I picked them up and droped them off at the airport for a 11:50 pm flight.

On a side note, I found out it is also Talk Like A Pirate Day. Arrrr.

Doctor Who - Survival (Episode 159)
DVD
Local: Bestbuy

http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Survival-Episode-159/dp/B000QGE8I8

The final serial in Doctor Who's original run on the BBC (before it was revived in 2005), this three-episode story stars Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor, who brings his companion Ace (Sophie Aldred) back to Earth, only to discover that a race of feline aliens have turned the planet into their private hunting ground. The aliens, called Cheetah People, are traveling between their dying planet and Earth to kidnap humans for food--and lurking behind the whole scheme is none other than the Doctor's arch enemy, the Master (Anthony Ainsley in his final TV performance as the character). Despite the relative lack of quality of its video cinematography, Survival is a sold serial from the McCoy era, with some genuine suspense and an affectionate (if temporary) send-off for the venerable sci-fi hero.

One thing I did on my birthday . . .

I went to get my Driver License renewed. I get a number and waited for a time. I looked up and saw the sign "Cash or Check". I had little cash, most places take the plastic. I lost my place while I got some cash. I got back, took a number and waited longer. Once I got up to the window, it was fast. Updated some info and then waited a few mins to take a new picture.

Waiting was not too bad, with a mp3 player and a cell phone that plays games.

    Dad's birthday.

Not the best shot, tried the night shot option on the digital camera. It did look ok on the little window of the camera in my defense.
